Toni S. Adams, RDH, MA:

 

Toni Adams combines 26 years of clinical dental hygiene experience with her baccalaureate and master’s degree education in Communication Studies to specialize in communication issues in dentistry. Some of her favorite topics include health, intercultural, instructional and nonverbal communication, listening, health literacy, caring for limited English proficient patients, and working with interpreters.

 

Toni has won awards for writing, speaking, scholarship, leadership, and mentorship, including being honored as the 2009 Sonicare RDH Mentor of the Year. She has written for various publications; taught college-level public speaking courses; presented scholarly papers at communication conventions; is a member of Phi Kappa Phi national academic honor society; served as a Subject Matter Expert to help write questions for the California dental hygiene law and ethics examination; currently serves on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of the California Dental Hygienists’ Association; and recently published her Dental Communication Brief Book series, seven books about communication topics for dental professionals.

 

 

Dr. Bill Domb, DDS:

 

Bill Domb maintains a busy high-tech practice in Southern California east of Los Angeles, at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains in Upland and welcomes visitors from many states and countries to visit each year. Primary focus has been on aesthetic restorative directions, but the practice has a number of other active centers such as headache-TMD, fresh breath, anesthesia and sedation dentistry, implantology, and minimally interventive and preventive services with a focus on uses of ozone.

 

He is the dental advisor to a Sjogren’s Syndrome group and Director of the Inland Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry. Dr. Domb sits on the faculty of local dental and medical schools and has chaired the Council on Dental Health for the California Dental Association.

 

Bill lectures on integrating the high tech practice with human factors that make it fly. An ongoing focus has been bringing modern dental technology to South America and Mexico, where he is supervising several different research programs. He is also quite involved in the production of educational video programs for dentists via his company Xcentric Studios.

The various uses of ozone in the dental practice have occupied Bill for over a decade and he has taught many courses in the US and overseas looking at practical applications in many areas of dentistry.

 

Other interests include scuba diving, flying, music and photography. Most recent CD/DVD: Free to Sing. Bill has recently returned from a European singing tour with Mastersingers USA and a teaching trip in dental schools in Ecuador and underwater photography in Tonga. He spent the summer with his men’s chorus touring in Europe and Russia.

 

 

Kristy Menage Bernie, RDH, BS, RYT:

 

Kristy Menage Bernie, RDH, BS, RYT, a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BS in dental hygiene, is the Director of Educational Designs, a national corporate consulting company based in San Ramon, CA and registered yoga teacher. She is an international speaker on a variety of topics as well as a facilitator of workshops for educators in dentistry. Kristy enjoys providing yoga sessions to dental professionals as she recognizes the benefits and opportunities yoga provides for her fellow colleagues and their unique postural health challenges.

 

Dianne Glasscoe Watterson, MBA:

 

What makes Dianne Glasscoe Watterson unique among speakers and consultants is her depth of knowledge and passion to help dental professionals excel. Her long career in dentistry - both clinical and business - spans more than three decades. In addition to being an RDH, Dianne also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Service Management and Master of Business Administration. Her business, Professional Dental Management, Inc., is based in Frederick, Maryland. Dianne has had more than one hundred articles published in Dental Economics, Dental Practice Report, Dentistry Today, Dental Graduate, Dental Equipment and Materials, Insurance Solutions, Woman Dentist Journal, and RDH, as well as several chapters for a national dental hygiene periodontal textbook entitled Foundations of Periodontics for the Dental Hygienist. She is well-known for her monthly column in RDH, entitled "Staff Rx" which addresses practice management problems faced by hygienists across the country. In addition, she authors a bi-monthly column called "Practice Wisdom" for Dental Economics magazine that is devoted to practice management.

 

Dianne is the author of Manage Your Practice Well, a comprehensive practice management text for dentists and office administrators. This book has won three awards for literary excellence: the Grand Apex 2011 award, the Hermes International Platinum Award, and Communicators' Gold Award 2011.

In 2005, Dianne was honored as a "Distinguished Dental Professional" by Dentsply. She was also named by Dentistry Today magazine as one of the "Top Clinicians in CE and Consulting" in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

 

Dianne has consulted in dental offices across the United States and has successfully implemented programs that raise levels of productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Her consulting is business-oriented and dedicated to practice improvement. She offers a one-year full consultation, focused hygiene department consultation, or a one-day needs assessment program. All programs are tailored to the needs of the practice.

 

Dianne is a former adjunct faculty member at Guilford Technical Community College in the dental hygiene department. She formerly served on the Board of Directors for The Speaking/Consulting Network and is a member of The National Speakers Association, ADHA, Maryland State Dental Association, and The Christian Medical/Dental Association. She also serves on the editorial board for RDH magazine.
